Marketing Coordinator – Tempe, Az

With moderate supervision, following standard operating procedures, this role will assist in general marketing activities with a focus on the timely delivery of marketing materials to all field sales and service agents. This role will also assist with tracking sales data, maintaining promotional materials inventory, planning meetings and trade shows, maintaining databases and preparing reports as needed.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • This role delivers marketing materials to sales and service agents in the field to support the attraction and retention of clients. This includes ensuring sales and service agents are prepared with StateServ materials during presentations to potential and current clientele.
  • Assists with social media updates to ensure prospect and existing clients have updated information regarding StateServ products and services offered.
  • Coordinates and delivers e-mail campaigns designed by the marketing department to attract new business.
  • Assists with preparing and adding both marketing and educational related materials and content to Company website.
  • Provides support by arranging and coordinating meetings, travel and hotel accommodations as necessary. Maintains travel schedules and calendars and distributes itineraries.
  • Serves as a contact to people inside and outside the company, screens phone calls, mail, email and faxes as appropriate for the marketing team. Responds to correspondences as appropriate.
  • Prepares, collates and distributes various reports in a timely and accurate manner. This includes but is not limited to business and expense reports. May complete or handle recurring department projects or one-time projects as directed.
  • Provides other office administration tasks which may include, but is not limited to, ordering supplies, shipping and collating materials, and filing.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the role include the following:


Education, Work Experience or Related Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Some college courses preferred with emphasis in Marketing/Business Management/Communications.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a paid special events, marketing and administrative position is preferred.
  • Knowledge of implementing marketing and advertising campaigns by assembling and analyzing sales forecasts; preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; organizing promotional presentations; and updating calendars.
  • Experience in preparing marketing reports through collecting, analyzing and summarizing sales data.
  • Responsible for inventorying stock, placing orders and verifying receipt of materials.
  • Familiarity with planning meetings and trade shows by establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments and coordinating mailing lists.
  • Administrative experience in a hospice environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the healthcare or medical fields in which incumbents have gained an understanding of durable medical equipment is strongly preferred.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to remain focused and organized given multiple tasks is essential. This includes the ability to prioritize, multi-task, work under pressure and with tight deadlines, and work independently toward objectives.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve individual and company objectives.
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and other software programs.
  • Experience in the Adobe Creative Suite which include PhotoShop, InDesign and Illustrator is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers to provide support and resolve issues.
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are required.
  • The ability to be proactive and self-directed utilizing good time management, decision-making, and organization skills is required. Incumbents must be able to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • An understanding of StateServ’s products, technologies, selling strategies and internal business functions is necessary to become proficient and competent in this role.

Physical Requirements and Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. Work is performed in an office environment.
  • Regular eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity is required to operate office equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • The ability to maintain a flexible schedule is required to accommodate national time zones as well as to be available for real time communications.
