Site Manager – Portland, OR

The Site Manager is responsible for managing a durable medical equipment site to achieve profitability objectives. This includes responsibility for operations and fulfillment of durable medical orders, warehouse and inventory management, sales and financial viability for the overall functions of the site.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Maintains P&L responsibility for the site
  • Increases the site’s level of effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching and managing the performance of staff in a manner that embraces StateServ’s values of compassion, customer service, dependability
    and respect
  • Monitors staffing levels, expenditures, asset equipment utilization and inventory levels to ensure maximum profit
    margins
  • Assists senior management in the development and preparation of the site annual budget, and responsible for the
    execution of the budget
  • Ensures the effective operation and management of all functional areas of the site such as customer service,
    accounts receivable, inventory control, safety and distribution
  • Implements and maintains office procedures and controls aligned with company compliance standards and
    operational policies
  • Ensures the warehouse is maintained to meet safety and effective operational standards
  • Ensures operational procedures comply with federal, state, local and CHAP regulations
  • Assists leadership in developing, interpreting and implementing new polices
  • Ensures project deadlines and performance standards are established and met
  • Creates an environment of excellence in serving customers and clients and maintains accountability for customer
    service levels
  • Handles non-routine inquiries from patients, Hospices and others
  • Implements performance improvement processes and demonstrates improved outcomes
  • Maintains a presence in the local market to generate business leads
  • Partners with others to evaluate and analyze sales activities and leverage corporate sales and marketing support to
    increase depth and breadth in the local market

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


Education, Licensure or Certification:

  • Knowledge of general business management as normally obtained by the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in business or a closely related field of study
  • A current state issued driver’s license is required
  • A confirmed driving motor vehicle record (MVR) successfully demonstrating no major violations in the past five consecutive years, no more than three minor violations or at-fault accidents in the past 36 consecutive months and no more than one preventable accident in the past 36 months
  • The ability to manage the daily operations of a site as described as normally obtained through 2 years of progressively responsible experience. Experience managing P&L responsibility is preferred
  • At least 1-2 years proven experience in a senior or lead role in which incumbent provided direction, training, coaching or guidance to others is required. Managerial experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience in the healthcare or medical fields in which incumbents have worked with durable medical equipment is strongly preferred

Work Experience or Related Experience:

  • Knowledge of general business management as normally obtained by the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in business or a closely related field of study
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of managerial experience is required
  • Experience managing a site location with full P&L responsibility is preferred.
  • Experience in the healthcare or medical fields in which incumbents have worked with durable medical equipment is
    strongly preferred.

    customers is essential

    others to achieve maximum performance

  • Ability to interact professionally and cooperate with all levels of management, outside vendors, clients and patients
  • Must be a strategic thinker that adds value to each effort
  • Must be able to visit patients/DME partners and visually assess operations

Equipment:

  • Working knowledge of a PC, business and communications software (MS Office) and web-based tools are required

Physical Requirements and Demands:

  • As required, the ability to work long hours and weekends is necessary
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
