Client Project Specialist – Tempe, AZ
This role develops and manages multiple and simultaneous projects to support the effective boarding, education and ongoing operations of hospice clients and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) partners. Additionally, partners with others to develop and design sustainable processes that facilitate the capture of data and resulting business analyses and solutions.
Responsibilities include the following:

Leads the development and management of comprehensive project plans, including but not limited to client
implementations, switch-outs and service and/or technical upgrades. Collaborates with cross functional
departments, including technical staff to estimate time requirements and identify predictable project schedules for
completion. -
Develops, coordinates and delivers training programs to support partners and clients in the onboarding, continuous
learning and utilization of organizational systems and equipment. This may include but is not limited to quarterly
lunch and learns, hospice equipment guideline manuals, technical training manuals, online training videos, etc. -
Partners with IT to consolidate information from multiple sources into a central repository from which status and
activity reports may be accessed for analysis. -
Identifies opportunities and defines processes to electronically capture client and partner information and then
maintains and manages the integrity of those systems. Creates and develops reports that provide visibility to client
health. -
Serves as a central resource to relay, facilitate and keep stakeholders apprised of project(s) status. This includes
preparing reports on progress and problems and coordinating project team meetings as appropriate.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the role include the following:
Education, Work Experience or Related Experience:
-
A thorough knowledge of business management as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor’s
Degree in Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field of study - Formalized education or training in project management practices, theories, and processes is strongly preferred; PMP desired
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in the design of project plans and management of simultaneous projects
- Progressively responsible experience developing and conducting training sessions
- One year of sales or account management experience is required or experience in which the incumbent has been engaged in identifying and understanding the customers’ needs, providing solutions and presenting recommendations
- Operational experience in a hospice environment is strongly preferred

Experience in the healthcare or medical fields in which incumbents have gained a thorough understanding of
durable medical equipment is strongly preferred
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills are required including the ability to present information and training
to varied clients - A basic understanding of the operations of the durable medical equipment industry and hospice industry

The ability to be proactive and self-directed utilizing good time management, decision-making, and organization
skills is required. Incumbents must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and projects -
A good understanding of StateServ’s products, technologies, selling strategies and internal business functions is
necessary to become proficient and competent in this role -
Incumbent must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Additionally, a moderately high degree of
organizational skill and ability to manage moderately complex projects are required -
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to manage projects. A moderately
high level of analytical and decision-making abilities are required -
Knowledge of common sales communication techniques, identification of the clients’ value proposition and
presentation of solution based sales. The ability to utilize this knowledge to engage clients and manage accounts is
strongly preferred -
The ability to quickly become conversant on new/updated system applications is required to facilitate trainings,
supporting it with collateral materials when necessary
Equipment:
- Working knowledge of a PC, business and communications software (MS Office) and web-based tools are required
Physical Requirements and Demands:
- Occasional travel may be required including overnight travel to visit clients and providers and provide on-site trainings
